Often
times Queer fiction proved me that centering its subject in its cubicle didn’t
seemed to work, whereas films like Brokeback Mountain did work beautifully, even
if every film is always representing a community, Weekend comes and proves the complete
opposite.
“Weekend” comes and talks
about it, shamelessly. And it’s so honest, so sensitive, so romantic.
How
they imitate life like this? Some people get amazed and wonder for scenes like
in The Hunger Games, I look at this film and I ask, for example, how did they
shot this particular sequence (in the bus)? How did they capture that final
sequence? Because the majority of the sequences in Weekend are amazing and
beautiful.
Tom Cullen and Chris New are the men.
