Jane...Just Maura

So I kept noticing fans reactions to Rizzoli & Isles, I couldn’t help it; and what a comic relief. I don’t want to offend anyone, I respect you all. It’s called internet and people come to this place to say whatever they want. So I decided to collect a few words from other fellow Web mates! Like the title of my post, also authored by the fans. Again, I don’t want to be mean; I know I sound like I just got internet yesterday! But the words I read after the Summer Finale Episode are too amusing.

a) they establish that Hoyt sees Jane and Maura as a couple. B) Show that Jane will be in berserker mode and kill when Maura’s being hurt...

The matching scars. (This made me laugh really hard.)

“Why this show isn’t called Butch & Femme?”

“Why can’t they just be friends?” It’s like, are we watching the same show”.
Now the question is "Is “Gayzzoli” coming true?"

I cracked. How do they do this? It’s really good!

Arizona

I love a smile. I love to see a smile on someone. They look prettier. Arizona Robbins has the most contagious smile.

You probably heard of Seattle Grace Hospital…a couple of days ago I decided to watch Grey’s Anatomy, to see Jessica Capshaw and her romantic subtext. She’s Arizona Robbins from peds surgery. She’s the cutest most amusing character of all surgeons (Bailey and Christina are genius, but that’s another story). She’s accomplished, hot and confident and she starts flirting with Calliope Torres from Ortho! I already knew the story, the outcome; I even saw the episode of her marriage to Callie. But I never thought the journey would be so satisfying. All I needed was to see that smile. It become like heroine. So I didn’t sleep for a few days.
I hope one of this days I get over them, but right now I really need Arizona and Callie.
In other words, this is me rejecting reality.

Eddie Murphy To Host Oscars

On a personal note - "Oh my fucking god, kill me".

I would still prefer the high-on-tiredness James Franco
He could barely open his eyes, every joke was awful but the sketch opening the Oscars was hilarious...

P.S - People from the Oscars, you don't have to make jokes at the film protagonists and other random starlet you just have to represent the films of the year (SOME OF THEM). That's supposedly the big deal.

I liked this...

Venice Film Festival Weekend - Photo Booth

A special guest.

They say Keira is every inch the star at Venice, so let's smile.

The family from 'A Dangerous Method'.

Also in the family...

The film is called 'Un été brulant' by Philippe Garrel and will also be at the TIFF.

Louis Garrel (son of Philippe Garrel).

George Clooney act.

I don't get this woman...I mean, I do. But it's too much...

...she puts young co-star in the shade, say gossip people; I say it depends on your taste, really.
By the way, their scenes together in 'Mildred Pierce' are powerful.

Jessie's face... Jessie's face and...(guess what?)

The good buzz is around Andrea Roseborough; What? She's a rising star...it's like an athlete in Top form!

The big question is - is it bearable? Because I still want to see it in theaters.

Funny looking faces
Wow.

Man with a beard.

Man in a hat.

Cronenberg, I only saw your two last films...it's a fact.

This is definitely funny!

Marisa, what is wrong??

Kate Winslet couldn't stop laughing during a vomiting scene...this really promises!

This is funny too!

Venice Film Festival Weekend

I'm no reporter so I can only report what I hear from other reporters...but I can show you pictures (taken from other people too)!
From what I've been reading the reviews aren't so ravishing.

'The Ides of March' have mixed reviews; it isn't as accomplished as 'Good Night, and Good Luck' but it is very watchable. I also heard the actors are good but not Oscar worthy; perhaps Evan Rachel Wood, who gets an important role and gets a lot of screen time (which is a plus) and George Clooney for his secondary role. But it is certainly a really good and entertaining film.

Should we say the controversy begins? Director Roman Polanski didn't dare to go because he might go to jail but the actors went to Venice, less Jodie Foster.
'Carnage' is a little quick film representing the humanity we all have, even if it comes in rare moments of inner dysfunction! The thing is pure and simple - people will love this film and perhaps even leave us wanting more. Four top stars that get together to show us human beings in their limits but it seems that the Oscar Worthy Performance is named Jodie Foster.

I am so sad (and disappointed). 'W.E' is a Royal Disaster (IndieWire Review). Saying the reviews are mixed it's a light way, it's being nice, because they actually say it's even worse than 'Filth and Wisdom' so there you have it. The main problem is the screenplay, but maybe if some other director would do it it could be saved...I guess the film is a slideshow of images, actors acting but with no insight; even the music isn't so well used; the photography is pretty good so for a slideshow film it's a plus. Madonna's ex husbands weren't so great of an inspiration, I guess (it shouldn't make sense though!).
Anyway, I'm really sad because of Abbie Cornish. Such an amazing talent, an amazing actress who doesn't seem to be having a great time is Hollywood, but rather difficult. She already lost an amount of different roles including in 'The Great Gatsby' for Carey Mulligan or replacing others like Emily Blunt in 'The Girl'. Because, like I said before, I wouldn't mind watching her doing ten films a year...even though she has other interests in life! Like rapping...and playing music instruments...and painting...and travelling.

The controversy continues but this time positively. 'A Dangerous Method' received an enthusiastic reception but hey, don't expect nothing less than a 'bloody' piece of work. Keira Knightley becomes the defining issue in the film because her character is, well, fully loaded. God, I'm rooting for her; I'm a very faithful Keira Knightley fan/admirer/lover with lot of respect too. But no less interesting are Viggo Mortensen and Michael Fassbender.

Words

To tell a story without many spoken words (no, I’m not exactly talking about silent films).
Taking I Am Love and like the film itself, words are needless.

Love this film

Love this picture

Love this moment

Love the blur

I love the end of the film.

Aimée and Jaguar

What do I think about this film, let me see…I can’t believe it’s a story based on true facts. It’s the first thing that comes to my mind, too romantic, in a sense. I mean, it’s understandably legitimate. There are endless stories ready to be told, so why not this one in particular? Why not? Maybe I don’t believe it because I’m too conservative and I’m not yet open and aware that there always been women who were in love with other women.
We are in Berlin in the middle of the Second World War, between 1943 and 1944. The scenario is of dark terror where jets and planes cross the skies turning its color a dark orange. People try to live their lives; some under imminent danger and some of careless clueless.
Felice is a Jewish woman living under a false name who belongs to an underground organization. One of her friend’s boss is Lily. Felice finds Lily to be a very charming woman, creating a strong attractiveness towards her. Felice meets Lily through their friend in common in a party where Lily tries to connect with a sergeant she’s being unfaithful with. From this moment they begin communicating with each other and suddenly an unusual and yet undeniable love starts between the two. But this relationship is far from being adequate and easy. Lily has a husband and four children and Felice is being persecuted by Gestapo, which she doesn’t know.
This love takes its crucial point when Felice has to decide to whether stay with Lily or flee with her friends having a bigger chance of surviving the war. Lily dies of despair if Felice goes, but if Felice stays her surviving changes are threatened to the bone.

Felice and Lily

Lily played by Julian Kholer and Felice played by Maria Shneider are two tremendous forces. Julia Kholer brings her theatrical performance making Lily the most emotionally explosive woman in the film; she’s funny, she’s energetic, she’s cold and hurtful all at the same time; she’s so elegant and beautiful.
Maria Snheider brings the coolest character to the screen. She plays a courageous woman. Felice is someone strong and tough, calculative in every aspect, almost heartless but then Lily came and she would turn into someone fragile and vulnerable; it’s beautiful to watch!
Aimée and Jaguar brings the relentless question – what if.  What if Felice would flee? Would they never meet again, would it be the same? We can’t ask these questions I suppose, because it was simply the choice made, it was that choice and not the others. This also brings the word destiny. For me it’s about letting go and acceptance and forgiveness.
The story tells us about a choice in life. At the end, through Alice, it tells us how this woman wanted the moment. The now. Everything in life should resume to that; just live the moment, the precious now.
Despite my conservatism I was touched by this story; Aimée and Jafuar it’s a film to be seen again and again.
